Integrated Financing Strategies For Sustainable Land Management in Fiji and Samoa
The UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) is also a convention on sustainable land management (SLM). Fiji and Samoa were signatories to this convention and wanted to develop a policy framework for financing SLM. Carbon Partnership co-authored the first report following consultations with government agencies and site visits to Fiji and Samoa. Carbon Partnership used an Ecological Infrastructure approach in this work, to show how investments in sustainable land management can be justified in the Ministry of Finance in both countries.
