Forests, Carbon, and Ecosystem Services

The goal of Carbon Partnership is to help cause as much indigenous forest conservation as possible.

We do this by helping owners of indigenous forest access payments for ecosystem services from willing buyers. These buyers may be from the public or private sector, local or international. These ecosystem services may be delivered in the form of carbon credits or other performance-based, quality assured instruments.

We work for sellers rather than buyers.

We are committed to facilitating fair-trade style economic development outcomes for forest-owning communities. This necessitates training, education and awareness-raising to enable informed policy, commercial and environmental decisions, and maximising forest-owner positioning in the value chain.

A lot of our recent work has been involved in reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation (REDD+), and the voluntary carbon market.
